Everything You Need to Know About Solar

Transparent, honest answers to the questions we hear most from American homeowners.

Eligibility
Yes — home ownership is a firm requirement. Solar panels are permanently installed on your property and only the legal owner can authorise the work. Renters and tenants are not eligible. If you purchase a home in future, we'd love to help at that time.
AeroSolar USA serves all 48 contiguous United States. We do not serve Alaska or Puerto Rico. If you own a home anywhere in the lower 48, you qualify for a free savings analysis.
Most standard roof types work well — asphalt shingle, metal, tile, and flat roofs can all accommodate panels. South-facing roofs generate the most power, but east and west-facing are also effective. Your advisor assesses your roof as part of the free analysis.
Your Electric Bill & Savings
Your bill shows your exact energy consumption in kilowatt-hours (kWh) — the most important number in solar design. We enter this into our software to calculate the precise system size, panel count, and your projected monthly savings. Without real usage data, any quote is a guess. We give you exact, personalised numbers.
The average AeroSolar homeowner saves $150–$300 per month depending on their bill, location, and system size. Over 25 years — factoring in rising rates — the average homeowner saves over $30,000. Your advisor provides exact figures from your real bill.
Net metering lets your utility company credit your account for excess electricity your panels send back to the grid. On sunny days you may produce more than you use — that surplus is banked as a credit, offsetting your bill at night or on cloudy days.
Federal Tax Credit
The Federal ITC lets you deduct 26% of your total solar system cost directly from your federal tax bill. On a $30,000 system that's $7,800 back — a direct credit, not just a deduction. Consult your tax advisor for specifics on your situation.
Many states offer additional incentives including state tax credits, property tax exemptions (solar systems are often exempt from property tax assessment), and sales tax exemptions. Your advisor identifies every available incentive in your state and applies it to your proposal.
Installation & Warranty
Most homeowners have a live system within 6–12 weeks of signing — covering permitting (2–4 weeks), installation day (1–2 days), and utility interconnection approval (2–4 weeks). Every step is handled for you.
Your system includes a 25-year panel production warranty, a 10–25 year inverter equipment warranty, and a workmanship warranty on the installation. Your advisor details the specific warranties in your proposal.
Absolutely. Your savings analysis, system design, and full proposal are 100% free. No obligation, no pressure. You only proceed when completely satisfied with the numbers.
